MARTIRIO DI SANTA GIUSTINA
Saint Justine is in the center of the scene, on her knees. At her back is a colored man just about to stab her at the chest. Four characters are looking at the scene, two for each side, with detached gaze. The background shows a distant landscape, small and indistinct that make the characters in the foreground even more big. Paolo Veronese, helped by his brother, resumed the same subject in a bigger canvas in the Basilica of Saint Justine in Padova and enrich it with more details and characters.
