uffizi room 53 pittori olandesi delft rotterdam xvii xviii secolo

This space can be reached directly from room 50. Here are small-size paintings created by minute attention to detail and, just as the other Dutch works represented here, the themes vary from genre painting to allegorical themes, and from mythological to historical biblical scenes, as well as portraits.

Among the artists we mention Adriaen van der Werff, one of the artists who enjoyed major esteem among his contemporaries and is very sought-after by collectors, and Leonaert Bramer, painter and draughtsman of manifold influence and therefore considered an independent artist, although drawing from the traditional repertoire of Dutch painting.
