Porta a Prato
The Porta a Prato makes part of Mura of Florence and a lot sold is found to the center of a large square on the city Tree-lined avenues of Circonvallazione.
As the other city doors were lowered in 1526, for being less vulnerable to the attacks of the new artillery, and it was in the occasion covered from the loggetta with roof to spiovente, to the top of which a metallic standard is found dog-vane.
The door takes to the name from the before said large square the Prato, does not give the fact that gives it leaves one road that door also to Prato.
